Welcome
About Pet Friends and Its Mission
Pet Friends of Duplin County is an independent, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. It was formed in April 2000 by a small group of county residents who care about companion pets and people. The human-animal bond is as old as recorded history. We cherish our animal companions for their unconditional affection and acceptance.
The mission of Pet Friends of Duplin County (PFDC) is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of domestic companion animals in Duplin County. We have grown and made much progress since we first began two decades ago, but need your help to continue our service to our pet friends and our community.
Together we can make a difference.
Consider becoming a member or donating. Every $75 subsidizes a pet spay or neuter, or 5 free rabies shots, or 15 HeartWorm tests for shelter animals.
Donations to the Spay/Neuter program are particularly welcome. We have a new spay/neuter initiative that is exploring ways to increase the number of pets who are fixed. We are even looking at developing a list of volunteers who could transport folks’ pets to and from Cape Fear Spay and Neuter Clinic in Castle Hayne - our newest partner in our spay/neuter subsidy program. donations can be sent to
PFDC SpayNeuter PO Box 152 Wallace, NC 28466 or click on our donations page - be sure to say you want it for spay/neuter.
